Indirect End User Phone Contact Information (Personal Identifiable Information)

FAXedge acts as a data processor regarding indirect personal identifiable information of end users, while our clients serve as the data controller for such information. Throughout FAXedge’s handling and safeguarding of this data, all actions adhere to the instructions provided by the data controller.

Specifically, FAXedge displays personal contacts within the ConnectMobile Android and ConnectMobile iOS applications only when authorized through system permissions. When a user sends an SMS or initiates a call to a contact, the phone number is securely transmitted via FAXedge’s API. FAXedge strictly stores only the phone number and relevant metadata to comply with state and federal laws. This data is never shared with advertisers or third parties. Users retain the ability to revoke contact access on their mobile devices without affecting their app experience.

Similarly, ConnectMobile Android and iOS utilize Gravatar, provided it is enabled via Settings and UIConfigs. Gravatar offers avatar images linked to MD5 hashes of user email addresses. With user consent, each contact’s email address is hashed and sent to Gravatar to retrieve an avatar image. MD5 hashes, which are utilized, cannot be linked back to individuals, and only the hashed data is transmitted to Gravatar, never the plain email address. Users can revoke Gravatar access at any time through Settings or UIConfig, without disruption to their app experience.

Using Your Personal Information

We are required to have a legal basis for collecting and processing your information. In most cases, we either have your consent or need the information to provide the service you requested. When that is not the case, we must demonstrate that we have another legal basis, such as our legitimate business interests.

We limit access to your personal information to our employees and contractors who have a legitimate need to use it. If we share your information with other parties, they must have appropriate security measures and a valid reason for using your information.

FAXedge uses the personal information you provide to:• create and maintain your accounts;• process, fulfill, and follow-up on your orders;• register your services;• answer your questions;• register you in programs (per your request);• send you information, including promotional emails;• send you surveys;• provide information related to your account and the products or services you purchased from us.

We also use this personal information to provide you with information related to your account and the products or services you purchased from us, to better understand your needs and interests, to improve our service, and to personalize communications.

We keep your personal information for as long as it is required for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy.

Sharing Your Personal Information

Unless you consent, FAXedge will never share the personal information you provide to us except as described below. FAXedge may disclose your personal information to third parties under any of the following circumstances:• As necessary to process and fulfill orders, to conduct billing/credit card processing, to provide our services, and for e-mail housing.• To our service providers, including third-party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents who perform functions on our behalf.• As required by law (such as responding to a valid subpoena, warrant, audit, or agency action, or to prevent fraud).• In the context of a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, consolidation, or divestiture, or as part of a bankruptcy proceeding.• We may share aggregate and de-identified information about users with third parties for marketing, advertising, research or similar purposes. For example, we may provide aggregated information about users to describe our services to current and prospective partners and other third parties.

We have no actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

Your Choices About Receiving E-Mail

FAXedge may send you e-mail about your account, about the services you have purchased, to remind you about services that are available, or in response to your questions. FAXedge may also send you e-mail with information and/or special offers about products and services that may be of interest. Cookies and Other Browser Information

We use temporary and permanent cookies and beacons, tabs, scripts, and similar technologies to track information about your use of our websites and services.

Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. We may use cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our websites and services, to customize the content and services we make available to you, to enable a faster log-in process, or to track your activities at our websites. You can either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your computer. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions or our services.

All sections of FAXedge’s websites where you are prompted to log in or that are customizable require your browser to accept cookies. If you do not want your information to be stored by cookies, you can configure your browser so that it always rejects these cookies or asks you each time if you accept them or not. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your computer from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, you will not be able to use certain services or features of our websites if you disable cookies.

Clear GIFs, pixel tags and other technologies. Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We, or our service providers, may use clear GIFs (a.k.a. web beacons, web bugs or pixel tags), in connection with our websites to, among other things, track the activities of website visitors, help us manage content, and compile statistics about website usage. We, and our service providers, also use clear GIFs in HTML e-mails to our customers, to help us track e-mail response rates, identify when our e-mails are viewed, and track whether our e-mails are forwarded.

Third Parties. We use automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics, to evaluate usage of our websites and, to the extent permitted, our services and proprietary applications. We also may use other analytic means to evaluate our services. We use these tools to help us improve our services, performance and user experiences. We may also engage third parties to track and analyze website data. We use the data collected by such third parties to help us administer and improve the quality of our website and to analyze website usage. Such third parties may combine the information that we provide about you with other information that they have collected. This Privacy Policy does not cover such third parties’ use of the data.

Security

We value your trust in providing us with your personal information. Thus, we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
